Visualization is Picky

You know when you imagine a certain situation to go one way, but it turns out the complete opposite. Like in the movies when the main character turns around and expects the other in their duo to turn and make eye contact, and possibly run back to them, but they end up sticking straight with their route onto the plane of unexplained feelings?

Maybe that’s a weird way to put it, but I just think it’s so crazy how our mind can create such personal situations, only to let ourself down in the grand scheme of things.

In a way, it’s a form of visualization. Maybe if you visualize what you want to happen, it will come true. Honestly, this can actually be real in so many ways. I feel like I’ve talked to someone about this.. maybe my cousin, I’m not sure.

Visualization is manifesting because you are making yourself believe the outcome is possible.

If you want to get into college, you can visualize yourself walking around campus, and make yourself believe you already go there. Your mind and body will already be in that state of mind, and the actions are the only thing to follow.

If you want a dream job, you can visualize yourself pursing that career, and being successful throughout the process. Your mind and body will already be in that state of mind, and the actions are the only thing to follow.

But what about romance? Listen, I am a definite romantic. I have a recent found love for romance books (which are ones I used to avoid) and have always been a person who just loves love. But with that, I’ve found that romance is the one thing you cannot visualize into reality. You can definitely imagine, and create scenarios in your head, but there’s no guarantee this will come true. That’s because instead of one persons energy going into this hopeful reality, it’s two peoples energy. You can’t control the way other people feel, just the way you usually can’t control how you feel. It sucks, I know. If I could make Tom Holland fall in love with me, you bet your ass I would’ve done that years ago.

I’ll never understand why our minds create such a powerful sense of imagination just to let ourselves get disappointed. But maybe it’s because one day, these dreams won’t just be seen through imagination. We need to prepare ourselves for the amazing day that we find who we are, in the place we should be at.

Everything happens for a reason.

xoxo,
