Let's See How This Goes

Hello! My name is Skylar Shapiro, and no, I'm not related to Ben Shapiro, please don't ask.

Creating a blog has been one of the many things I've wanted to create throughout my entire life. This is also not the first time that I have created a website, gotten very into it for about two weeks, and then let my money rot in an online journal of one entry I created from a burst of motivation.

This time is different. Well, this time WILL be different. Why? Not sure, but I'm manifesting that this time has the outcome that I've wished for since I was 10.

As I'm sitting here in Oregon, on a couch with my legs in criss-cross applesauce (Does anyone still say that? I do. I have forever, but I feel like I never hear others say that. I, personally, think its very fun to say. Like... I LOVE applesauce.. but what else would you say instead of 'criss-cross applesauce'? 'Sitting with your legs crossed'? That sounds like a crime LOL) I contemplate what I want this website to be?

Do I want it to be a blog, where I post my inner thoughts that people judge me for, when I'm genuinely just thinking?

Do I want it to be a store, where I sell photos that I've taken?

Do I want it to be a little journal, filled with my spiritual journey and poems that I write when I'm at an all time low?

See, I have asked these things to many people who surround me, and every time I've gotten the same response;

WHY NOT DO EVERYTHING?

And so here I am. Doing everything. Hopefully.

I think this blog/website/store/journal will be good for me. This way I can look back and see where I was in the last post.

I'm manifesting that this blog will be different.

I'm manifesting that this store will be successful.

And I'm manifesting that growth will occur throughout my journey on this website.

Also, I'm sure your wondering (I know you're not but please say you are) "Why are you calling it "Universal Exposure."

See that's a great question. Jk it's a terrible one. Jk it's not. I'm all over the place people.

It started out with the word "Universal". For some reason, that word resonated with me in relation to creating something. I wanted this site to be a place where people, whether you're from my hometown of Livermore, California, where half of the residents are hardcore Trumpies and don't believe in racial equality, or from some small city in Australia where you say "G'day mate" when you see a friend walking down the street, I wanted it to be a place where everyone could relate.

Now, moving on to "Exposure". I first thought of this word as it could be a pun from film photos (which are the type of photos I've been most fascinated by recently.) But, it could also be used to explain the exposure of my life. I mean, going onto a public platform, for everyone to see, is a very vulnerable setting. But... YOLO? haha. I need to do a post about YOLO, I swear it's one of my favorite words.

Well, I'm getting hungry, and my legs are falling asleep from sitting like this.
